Studio Policies

Registration Fee - A registration fee of $10.00 per dancer or $15.00 per family is charged to all new students. All registration and tuition fees are non-refundable. Tuition - Tuition is based on a school year session, not by the class. Monthly payments remain the same regardless of number of classes per month, school closures, holidays, or attendance. Tuition is due by the first lesson each month regardless of attendance and is considered delinquent after the 10th of the month. A $10.00 late fee will be applied to your account if tuition is not received in full by the 10th of the month. There will be no credits or refunds for missed lessons and we do not prorate classes. Classes missed can be made up in another class. All NSF checks will be charged $25.00. Dress Codes - Dance requires proper equipment in order to be successful. Proper attire allows instructors to view how the student uses their muscles and allows for specific corrections to be given. Due to safety concerns, correct dance wear and shoes must be worn in class or the student will not be able to participate. Shoes and dance wear are seasonally available at Pay Less or Target. Lucy and Ethel’s, located on Garfield, has dance wear and shoes. Michele’s, also on Garfield, has dance shoes and gives us coupons for 15% off shoes and dance wear. Look in the yellow pages under Dance Supplies for more stores and locations. Hair, Jewelry and Gum - Please do not bring candy, gum, pop, or juices into the dance studio. Only water is allowed to be drunk in the studio. Hair for all classes must be pulled back into a pony tail or pinned to stay out of the dancers face. Dancers cannot dance when their hair falls in their faces. Please pin or spray hair back. Do not bring jewelry or watches into the dance studios, as they are safety hazards and can be very distracting. Class Placement - Class placement is based on both age and ability and is at the discretion of the instructor. Annual Recital - Dates for recital will be out by September. All students will have their costumes ordered by the studio. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is due per costume by October with final payments due by November. All costumes are non refundable and cannot be returned to costume makers. More information will be coming out in October. All families will be reserved 4 tickets for their recital date.
